Beowulf - The Short Review

Worth watching, especially in 3D. Boat scene, too. Angelina Jolie has to
have the nicest rack on the face of the earth. Movie approximates the
story in some parts, not in others. If you get to a 3D viewing, sit in
the center of the row of center seats, not on the side.

Most reviewers are panning it like there's no tomorrow.

And for the record, Angelina Jolie is a pig.

Never understood the attraction.

Do you still have to wear those silly red/green plastic and cardboard
glasses?

It's worth seeing in 3D. I didn't say it was the Great American Movie.

Ms. Jolie is considered "hot" around here. Great body, nice face, sexy
lips. Did I mention she has a great rack?

Nope. Now you get a pair of plastic frame glasses, both lenses the same
color. It was a fun show, especially for my religiously raised 17 year
old nephew, since there was sexual innuendo aplenty and some semi-nude
scenes.

Yeah, sure. Like you've ever had anything that hot.

We bagged it 5 minutes into it and went next door to Enchanted.

She is. Fake boobs, liver lips, her nose is too sharp, her eyes are
too close together and she can't act her way out of a parking ticket.

The only reason she is where she is is because she is Jon Voight
daughter.

I think AJ is attractive, but I would never pay money or waste my time
watching a bad CG movie just to catch a glimpse of her boobies.

It rated a 70 on rotten tomatoes, I don't waste my time on movies that
rate less than an 85 on rotten tomatoes. While it got a 70 from
critics, even the users only rated it at 71. It seems if you like CG or
AJ's tits, it is very popular.

"For all its visual sweep and propulsively violent action, this
bloodthirsty rendition of the Old English epic can't overcome the
disadvantage of being enacted by digital waxworks rather than
flesh-and-blood Danes and demons."
Variety

"Heads roll, arteries gush and spleens spill across the IMAX screen in
Beowulf, just as you'd expect in a screen adaptation of the oldest
surviving epic poem in the English language."

"I say the story works, but I wish they'd teach these avatars to act."

Once again, I saw the movie in 3D...and it was the first 3D movie I had
seen since House of Wax. The 3D made it visually interesting to me.

I am not particularly interested in any movie where the biggest star
is the computer animation department. If I just want to watch a
Roadrunner cartoon I will watch one of the originals with the coyote
on the Acme rocket

It's a little more than that. It's really an experiment in motion
capture and in that sense, it more than suceeds according to people I
know who have seen it and are into movies.

I will probably like it if only because of what you can do with motion
capture and animation. I enjoy animated films.

Plus, the more they experiment with motion capture in terms of CGI,
the better and better the movies are going to be.

Think "Matrix" meets "Pirates of the Carribean" meets "Shrek". :)

The SFX are giong to be spectacular. "Transformers" is a fair example
of how far the state-of-the-art has come - that movie was awesome.

Yes, except for the plot line and the acting, if you could follow it.
