I discovered something pretty cool about using the Jukebox site. The WiFi
server that I use on the boat automatically disconnects you after a period
of time if there is no data exchange.
Often, when reading a post (particularly one of Chuck's) or trying to
respond to one the server drops my connection and I have to go through the
process of logging back on.

By running background music from the referenced site, I stay connected until
I decide to log off because there's a constant data stream for the music.

Cool.

Hmmm. I also find myself disconnected from the space-time continuum when
reading one of Chuckster's novellas here.

Honest to god, I could work with that guy, and help him improve his writing.

He's got potential, but he needs an editor, one with a good supply of
fresh red grease pencils who insists he use the active voice more than
the passive.

Have you noticed the digital "echo" on your computer?

It's pretty noticable on mine.

Oh yeah. It's an "airy" kind of sound .... definately low fidelity, but
fine for background music.

Some songs are worse than others.

I have it hooked up to a cheap set of computer speakers ... sub and two
speakers.

It's ok.

I have to show you my "music" room setup at the house. With your interests,
you would get a big kick out of it.

Love to view it sometime. You need to hear my bi-amped Bozak Concert
Grands - powered by Mac 50s - original Mac 50s. The glow in the dark
kind of Mac 50s. :)

Music is one of my passions and my constant companion. As a general
rule, I don't have any particular "focus" with music - I'm rather
eclectic with my overall approach to listening. Some day I'd like to
score a movie - the listening would be very interesting. :)

Pinned down, I have a fondness for electronic trance/ambient
background music, I am a doo-wop freakazoid and a confessed Zappa fan.

However, that's what I generally return to after forays into country,
classical, pop - whatever.

We may not share the same taste in boats, but I gotta admit you have my
attention on the sound systems.
