Hey Eisboch....
"Short Wave Sportfishing" wrote in message news Just watching the bouy data - man, it looks a little steep out your way. http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/buoy/44008.html I am very happy where I am. Bunch of other nuts down here as well as me, all riding out the storm on their boats. Yesterday I doubled up the lines, helped a couple of other people move their boats from the front to the more protected back basin and secured the cockpit furniture. It's just started raining and the wind is picking up. I am sure we'll lose power at some point and will have to fire up the genset. Amazingly, the satellite dish is still locked on. Eisboch |

Wave height at mouth of our harbour is already 7 feet and the storm 'Noel' doesn't get here until late this afternoon. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44258 I am sitting here at the chart table in the pilothouse and the wind is howling pretty good now. There's a 46' Bertram convertible beside me and everyonce in a while it bounces towards me while my boat is moving towards it. It happens fast and makes me jump when I catch it out of the corner of my eye. It's amazing. The wind is moving this 40K+ pound boat around like a toothpick. Hope all our lines hold. I also thought I saw snow mixed in with the rain. That's depressing. Eisboch |
