They've certainly helped to put Cleveland back on the map.

This is no doubt the most exciting thing to happen thereabouts since
the Cuyahoga River caught fire in 1969.

Eerie.

Lead by example Wayne.

What kind of example would you like, and why are you so touchy about
that river fire?

ROTF. Touchy about something that happened 38 years ago?

Act like an adult. Putting down a city one lives in is equal to a 3rd
grader telling you that your mother is ugly.

If I recall, your favorite reprimand to folks acting like children here
was....."lead by example". Time to take your own advice.

BTW....what grandiose city do you call home?

None. His neighbors complain if he stays in one place for more than
three days. Sorta like dead fish. :}

I'm amazed you never picked up on my comment on Cleveland, that life
there "ended" with the demise of Szell. He was, as you know, the
preeminent conductor of his time, and when he wielded the baton, the
Cleveland Orchestra was, simply, the best in the country and among the
best in the world for interpreting the classical composers.

We have a mini version (when compared to large cities) of fine
arts.........the Cleveland Orchestra still lives.

http://www.clevelandorchestra.com/html/index.asp

Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Playhouse, the Cleveland Ballet, our
librararies and museums. Add to that our medical resources including the
Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, and our educational institutes
including Case Western Lastly, add a touch of recreation with 3 professional
sports teams, Lake Erie, the Islands, the Emerald Necklace parks and our
golf courses.

I can live with our winters. I cannot live with year round traffic jams
and over crowding found in most major cities.

For someone to bring up a polluted river that caught fire some 40 years ago
in an attempt to bash that person is juvenile and shows total ignorance on
their part.

It's just Wayne, the Reggie wannabe.

We've been living on the boat for 5 months, in some of the finest
regions of the east coast.

But waitjustafreakinminute. (with apologies to the trademark owner)

You have no problem with putting down the fine sports teams of NY and
Boston, but can't take a little good natured kidding about the city by
Lake Erie?

Eerie.

Perhaps, but that is how many people associate Cleveland, sort of like
the Chicago fire and San Francisco earthquake. If you'd like
something more current we could talk about the "rust belt" appellation
that some thoughtless media person hung on the region.

Let's face it, Cleveland has an image problem once you get outside of
northern Ohio. Your team could help to fix that. Seriously.

No attempt to bash you Jim, I'm sure you are a fine upstanding citizen
who also likes boats. Can't be all bad. :-)

Hell, if he wanted a low blow at least he could have brought up Dennis
Kucinich!

BTW.....you gotta love these front runners like Wayne who *once* lived in
NY, perhaps several hundred miles from NYC and never actually seeing the
Yankees playing in Yankee Stadium.......yet claim to be a fan of the team.
He will most likely change his *allegiance* to another front running team
now that the dynasty of the over payroll Yankees was broken by the lowly
Cleveland Indians just a few weeks ago.

Watch what happens to the once mighty Yankees now that Torre told
Steinbrenner to shove it. The dismantling of the team will be fun to watch
over the next few months. Boston Red Sox fans can thank the Cleveland
Indians for that. ;-)

I like Dennis...he's refreshing. I'd never vote for him, but he says
some interesting things.

You gotta wonder...who wouldn't want Joe Torre, eh?

Learn to lead by example Wayne. You have sunk to Reggie-sequel levels.

That Waylon Smithers is like a bad apple... or virus.
He seems to be infesting a number of posters. Better call the
exterminators!
