The answer is energy.
The question asks for a word ending with the three letters g-r-y, but
does not stipulate that they must be in that order.

SW did not ask for variations of a particular riddle, he asked a
riddle. In his query he indicated it was something we use every day
and know the meaning of. My answer is the closest so far and can not
be discounted by any aspect of SW''s riddle...

Look again. The entire premise of the question is flawed as there are
certainly far more than three words that end in "gry" or in
combinations thereof. Heck, I can think of all sorts of boating
related words that end in combinations of g, r, and y...... start with
one of my favorites. "orgy" :-)

The question might as well have posed as "guess which word I'm
thinking of that ends in g,r,y or some combination thereof". It's a
flawed riddle because there is no definitive answer beyond the secret
word the riddler has in mind.

There are three words in the English language that end in the letters
g-r-y. Two are "hungry" and "angry." Everyone knows what the third
word means, and everyone uses it every day. What is the third word?

Hint: It's boating related.

I think all y'all ****ed him off with your nasty comments about this
riddle.

I don't blame him either. I'd be ****ed if I gave you a riddle and you went
to Google. Ain't fair.
