Ouch, relax man.. It was two weeks ago. Anyway, today is not a fishing
day, it is a stable day. It's no fun outdoors if there ain't no poo on
yer shoe ;)

Today is a wheelbarrow day. Carrying a couple yards of topsoil to the back
yard in the hopes I can get a decent lawn back there. It's something I go
through almost every year. It never works, but I keep hoping. The trouble
is the nine big oaks in the back yard. I'm on a 1/3rd acre lot, so that
will give you an idea of why I can't get grass to grow well back there.

But, it keeps me off the streets!- Hide quoted text -

At the other place I had an area where all I could get was moss, so
eventually I stopped trying to get grass, limed it up and cultivated
the moss. Never needs mowing, very soft...- Hide quoted text -

Forgot to mention, my childhood home was 1/2 acre with 22 oaks, and 7
white pines. We just took one of the pines down this spring, a 95 foot
monster...

Actually, I bring very little of it here. But, if you check the majority of
johnny's posts, you'll find they contain absolutely nothing but whining
about other people's posts.

You won't check though. You know that.

I figured you'd crosspost it over there anyway.

Harry has you well trained in the calling of names, doesn't he?

This has nothing to do with Harry. You ask people to do certain things, but
you do the opposite. I'm stating a fact. You are a hypocrite.

I get that at the side of the house where the shade is constant.

Adding the front yard will get me up to twelve big oaks, a magnolia, and a
couple birches. Any more and I'd start cutting. The leaves drive me up a
wall in the fall. I may go looking for some Salvadoreans.

It's the local culture.

Due to the procalimed intent of certain posters, the negligence of a
few others, and miscommunication between most of the rest the
"interpersonal" cyber relationships between posters to rec.boats are
generally very tense indeed.

There's an element of trust that needs to be in place before humor can
evolve, especially when that "humor" involves personal remarks about
other posters. Not the case with the polar/penguin deal, but you
launched it into this environment and the result isn't all that
surprising.

This is a pretty funny group- that is if you consider watching people
beat each other up over everything in sight entertaining. Certain
people do, and their influence is pervasive here.
