Another Great Day on an Imaginary Boat

The imaginary wife and two of my fictitious kids spent the day on the lake.

My main objective was to relax and try to finish up Michener's book on
South Africa. I did not succeed. The kids kept messing with me, so I
finally got into the water.

My daughter went trolling for studs at the marina. I finally got out
the boat hook and chased the horny dogs off.

Life with an imaginary boat is mega cool and from what I have read in
rec.boats, much cheaper than the real thing.

To quote Elwood P. Dowd, ""Oh so smart, or oh so pleasant. Well for
years I was smart and I recommend pleasant."

My main objective was to relax and try to finish up Michener's book on
South Africa.

"The Covenant"? Good book. Have you read "The Source" yet?

ROTFL!!

I have read Hawaii, Mexico, Caribbean and maybe some others, who knows.

I always have to spend a few weeks after reading Michener researching
the characters trying to figure out who is real and who are composites.

My wife hates Michener because as soon as she gets into a character
and/or plot he moves onto the next one.

I don't like everything he's done - he sometimes gets a little carried
away with the historical research and the plot/characters get buried
in minutia.

"The Covenant" is pretty good though.

Poor Reggie finally had a dream about boating with his family and wakes up
in an angry mood. Go figure.

No, no, no, silly. He had a dream about boating with his *imaginary*
family. The part of the dream about his imaginary daughter and her
imaginary studs would interest a student of Freud had it involved a real
person. But, as we know, Reggie Returdo is not a real person, nor is he
based upon one.

That word, imaginary, has got you going, Harry!

Which do you think is more 'imaginary', Reggie's family, or your lobsta
boat?

If I were going to get an imaginary boat it would be a Hatteras. You
just can't beat a nice high transom (HT) Hatt.

My imaginary mistress has a transom that's high and tight and a narrow

pronounced flare in the bow draws admiring glances from fellow
mariners. (She can be a lot of fun in head seas).

Now, I'm talking about a boat- of course :-)

I have forwarded this to your wife.

I am not sure of your imaginary mistress, but you do have a nice looking
boat. The only problem I can see with it, is when you have a nice boat,
you do have a tendency to use it. Now imaginary boats allow you to talk
about boats, and still post 24/7 in rec.boats.
