Jim, I used that address you sent, and the email bounced right back.

I'm starting to wonder if my "newsgroup posting email" works.
I only check it about once a week to find out how many millions I have
waiting in lottery winnings and Nigerian bank accounts.
I probably got quite a bit wealthier since I last checked.

Heh.

I did an experiment a couple of months ago by putting a dummy account
in the email on my server.

It was up for one post on one day.

Fifteen minutes until the first spam showed up.

To date, 23 per day is the average.

And I seem to be very popular in Nigeria.

I mispoke about the account above. It was empty
since I dumped it last week.
The one that gets the most junk is the yahoo account
I use for on-line ordering.
It seems spamming has dropped off a bit as people wise
up to it. Or maybe it's because they threw that guy in the can last
year - he was prolific.
Doesn't take but a couple criminals to cause a "crime wave."

That's what I like about gmail, it has a tremendous spam catcher.

Like, about a thousand a month. OH some still get though, but once
you've labeled them as spam, it pretty well filters them out.

I'm using my AOL acct at the moment, and spam creeps into viewing way
more than necessary.
