What's the general consensus out there with respect to the quality,
reputation, resale value, parts availability of the smaller line of
Chaparral boats as of production year 2000 - today? I see alot of Bayliners
out there as well as SeaRays that swell pretty cheap....

Chap is a good mid range price boat. You should have no problems
finding parts and service. Outside of the hull, deck, shell, seats, and
and I think windshields most parts are made by other mfg'ers and
assembled by the boat builders.

Thanks guys. I've owned many boats but none has handled better than my 01
DeepVee 180SSE. Very stable, powerful and quiet 4.3L inboard.

My son-in-law had a Chap 24'er bubble type, and they loved it. They've got
three kids, small ones, and it suited their needs very well. He never had a
complaint about it!
