Where's the Lobster boat Harry? You seem to talk an awful lot about the
old Parker and the new Parker but, information about the trips you take
in the Lobster boat are nil.

Please show us a picture of the lawn chairs on the Lobster boat.

I was there as the guest of a buddy who, before he went to law school,
worked a couple of years down under for a rather famous American who
owned a rather substantial "spread" near Alice Springs but who was so
busy inventing things, he rarely got there.

I don't actually boat...lately. I wash it, work on the engine, tow it to

launch it, recover it....sigh...can't seem to get it up to do the last part.

Yup...go smaller, or bigger. If bigger, keep on a mooring at a local boat

I'll bet there are some very good deals on used 4WD trucks down there if
you can live with the rusted rear springs, wheels, brakes, exhaust
systems, differentials, etc. Even the boats with the tongue extensions
got splashed.

Will let you know tomorrow.
Today was a big day...... mom finally got the word that a nursing home bed
was ready for her. We drove her to her new spot in a town 40 miles from the
city.
This is a temporary measure...as she had submitted her top three choices of
homes but she had to take the first bed open. When one becomes
available from her preferred list, she moves again.... hopefully before
winter.

for JohnH..
If you're coming to visit mom you can stay at this beautiful property right
next door to the nursing home.

We went through the living at home, independant living, assisted living
and finally nursing home scenario with my Mom. I can understand the time

Thanks Jim. By the time our generation starts looking for a spot, they'll

I'm glad to hear things are working out well for your mom.

Last night 20-20 ran a special on health care. Canada didn't come out
looking very good, mostly because of the waiting aspect of your health
care. It seems dogs and cats have a much better shot at getting a quick MRI
than do humans.

It sounds like your mom had to undergo some of the waiting also. Damn
shame, but all is well now. Good!
