I have been robbed. ;) I thought I was a boater, while you spent the last 2 weekends posting on rec.boats, I was actually spent 6 days with my family on my boat, but if this is the criteria, I guess I am not a boater. I did notice that NONE of these boats had that cut out on their transom. How does the water get out of them boats without an open transom? |

You seem to talk an awful lot about the old Parker and the new Parker but, information about the trips you take in the Lobster boat are nil. Please show us a picture of the lawn chairs on the Lobster boat. |

I don't actually boat...lately. I wash it, work on the engine, tow it to
the gas station and fill it up, run the engine, fill the fresh water system...then contemplate the work req to outfit it for a trip, tow it, launch it, recover it....sigh...can't seem to get it up to do the last part. I'll bet there are some very good deals on used 4WD trucks down there if you can live with the rusted rear springs, wheels, brakes, exhaust systems, differentials, etc. Even the boats with the tongue extensions got splashed. OK, so how's the frekin' boat? Will let you know tomorrow. Today was a big day...... mom finally got the word that a nursing home bed was ready for her. We drove her to her new spot in a town 40 miles from the city. This is a temporary measure...as she had submitted her top three choices of homes but she had to take the first bed open. When one becomes available from her preferred list, she moves again.... hopefully before winter. for JohnH.. If you're coming to visit mom you can stay at this beautiful property right next door to the nursing home. http://www.bnbfinder.com/Nova-Scotia...lockmakers_Inn |

Last night 20-20 ran a special on health care. Canada didn't come out looking very good, mostly because of the waiting aspect of your health care. It seems dogs and cats have a much better shot at getting a quick MRI than do humans. It sounds like your mom had to undergo some of the waiting also. Damn shame, but all is well now. Good! |
