Oh...fishing report.
Went out for a while this afternoon just to try out some of the new
Berkley "GULP" alive baits. It was really too damned hot for me out on the water, with the temp in the low to middle 90s. Anyway, the baits worked. Fake bloodworms and fake shrimp. |

Excellent additions for tube and worming and I used the shrimp in Charleston Harbor live lining for specks. They worked very well. I'd like to try the shrimp on redfish sometime - maybe next trip. |

I've used the shrimp for redfish in Florida, Mosquito Lagoon, and they work quite well. The leech type also are great for walleye up in Ontario. |

I almost climbed down the back of the ladder. I did that once last year while fishing alone, and it caused another boat to weigh anchor and come over to make sure I was ok. They thought I had fallen overboard and did not see the ladder so they though I could not get back in. I thanked them and they went back to fishing. Anyway, going to try some red line today "Cajun" brand I think, something like that. I have pretty poor eyesight and tried some hivis yellow line but I have issues with it, although it casts nice. Hoping I can see it topsides without it being so visible in the water. Well anyway, hope you all go on the water today. Even it is only a short trip. |
