Glovebox / cooler?

Overall my Seaswirl seems well built....... EXCEPT.

The glove compartment is actually a fully insulated cooler with a thru hull
drain and everything. Cool!

So old Clams here puts in 2 bags of ice and a 6 each of coke and beer. And
WALLA! This cooler thingie falls right to the floor inside it's compartment.
Hmmmmm.

Investigation reveals that this "glove cooler" was held on by *nothing*
other than that spray in foam insulation stuff. Nothing - not a bracket,
not a screw, not so much as a peice of tape.

I just got done re-foaming it in. Then I'm building it a little "stand"
under there. It shant come down again. (sigh)

The question part........??

Is this normal? Did I "misuse" it? Does anyone else have one mounted
that way?

Maybe we could get the power grid fixed if every politician
regulating the power companies wasn't on their payrolls.

You misused it. Coolers on boats are designed to hold beer and ice only.
Putting soft drinks in there amounts to abuse of the equipment.

I would assume that ice and fishes would have been a valid option too??

Regardless - it's back up with 2 cans of foam holding it. I'm gonna brace it
from the bottom today.

Also got my new tach (non-OMC) yesterday from Faria.

Yes, you are allowed to replace beer with fishes as the beer is consumed.
Idealy, this is done on a one to one basis.
