15HP Johnson and 25 HP Mariner - Fiel Filter and fuel Jet info request

I have a 15HP Johnson outboard, 1992, rope pull start, model J15RENM
(50:1 gas mix). I also have a 25HP Mariner outboard, 1996, electric
start, model 25ELH. Both motors have been sitting unused for about 2
years. I took them both out about 2 weeks ago and had a few problems,
although not as many as I thought I would.

The 15HP Johnson had to run at half choke. Before the 2 year idle
period, it ran sweet with the choke off. Only had to choke the motor
to start it. Now, it still starts with only one pull (sometimes two),
but the choke needs to be half pulled out. It stalls a lot (trolling
speed, basically an idle), but only one pull starts it up again.

The 25HP Mariner has to now run at full choke. Once again, before the
2 year set, it ran sweet with the choke off. Only had to choke it a
couple times to get it started. When running at full choke now, it
still does run sweet.... but I want to get it fixed.

Because of the choke I now have to run at, I assume there is a
restriction somewhere in the fuel system (varnish buildup).

I'm in the process of running a SeaFoam mix through both motors now.
I know it will take a few tanks of gas with the SeaFoam before any
varnish buildups are dissolved, but in the meantime.... I'd like to
clean the fuel filter and possibly run a wire through the carburetor
fuel jets. I have no actual service manuals for either motor. That's
why I'm writing.

If anyone out there has one of the motors (models) and might have a
service manual, I'd like to ask for a photocopy (PDF or JPG format)
from the manual showing where the fuel filter is and what it looks
like..... and also how to get to the jets. I know others who have run
wires through the jet orifices, but I'd like to see where they are at
and what it takes to get to them before I start taking things apart.
The same with the fuel filters.

If not a copy of one of the manual pages, a digital picture of an
actual motor taken apart would also help.

You can send any pictures to my email address.

Thanks.......

Mac
