bad trim guage
 

Boat is 2003 Seasport Sportsman ~ Volvo KAD32 with dual prop. Went to start
up to run fresh water through and noticed the drive tilt indicator is not
working correctly. The drive tilts fine up and down however the electronic
guage shows the drive tilted all the way up and will not change. Any help
on where to look?

Only 3 places possible.

Sending Unit (variable resistor)
Guage Itself
Wiring in between them

At the fulcrum where the lower unit actually trims up and down. Look for a
"thingie" with a wire or two coming out of it.

Clams, The only thing I've been able to find is the wires that lead to the
trim tabs.

The wires go through the transom plate. Start at the pivot and find
the sending unit first. Then you'll be able to find the wires.

If you are going to do your own service I'd suggest getting a service
manual. It will have diagrams and pictures.
