Subject: Homebrew in secondary too long?

Hello all. I brewed a red ale, was a week in primary, then racked to
secondary. Well, I got sick, ended up in the hospital, emergency
surgery, yada, yada. It has now been sitting in the secondary, at
approx. 75 degrees F for a 2 1/2 months or so. What would you do? I
bottle, so I don't know if I want to take a risk at bottling only to
have to clean nasty non-drinkable beer out of my bottles! I haven't
taken the airlock off of it or anything yet, not knowing what I should
do.

I racked after 7 days, then left my last batch in in there almost 5
weeks. Still tasted ok when I bottled it the other day, I don't think
it got infected. Should be ok and I do my bottles right in the
dishwasher on the sterilize setting, not a big deal at all.

I am just getting ready to rack a pale ale that has been brewing
almost 5 weeks at about 78 deg, F, if it still tastes like thick sweet
beer with no bubbles it will probably be ok. Some of the combinations
of tastes might be out of balance, don't confuse that with bad beer,
bottle it and see how it tastes in a few months.

Both of these beers were brewed several weeks longer than necessary
though.

I have always wanted to do a red beer, and I have a newly aquired
Irish son in law that has been wanting to do one. Still, the Coopers
Austrailian Ale seems to always be a great hit. From Miller Lite
drinkers to Samual Smiths drinkers, all seem to like the Austrailian.

My supplier just got me a bottle of the Coopers Dark Ale from their
retailer, who also sell ingredents seperately. The batch we bottled
last week is CDA so I will get to see if I am even close. I do add dry
malt, and for the ale's, Fuggles hops so we will see. I guessing they
might not want to tell me what hops they use;)

Well, bassy, if you read this, hope you feel better, ass....e.

There is no cure for that due to the fact that it doesn't exist. He's a

That really says little about your political group if you lean on that
bozo. How are things at Ullico?
