The general plan is to keep the US engaged there and elsewhere until we spend ourselves into collapse, much like Reagan accomplished with his policies that brought down the Soviet Union. Bullfeathers. Pope John Paul II, Lech Walesa, advance of electronic communications, and plain overdue failure of the commie system brought down the Soviet Union. Reagan accomplished nothing but the nurturing of latent dittoheads and union busters. You sound like Fox News and the other Reagan butt-kissers. How's it going with the boat? --Vic |

Don't you understand Chuck? We're all being held hostage by Jon - he's the Al-Qaida of rec.boats. It's all about him and his outrage. He's gone right off the deep end. Did you know that Jon told me one time that all Republicans should be shot? True - I still have the email. I tend to keep emails that amuse me. Sadly, this one might turn into evidence at some point. And to think - he lives out by you!!! Watch your back dude - watch your back. Only some Republicans should be shot. Taking our conversations out of context is rude, but I'm coming to accept that being within your ethics. Chuck is perfectly safe. Although he doesn't approve of my rabble rousing, he's not a blind fool and I agree with most of what he says. It's the mock "conservatives" who're nothing more than partisan fools who I have the beef with. So many of these fools tried to call us pinkos, commies, socialists, etc. for our views on the war and pointing out the lies we were being told. Now, after all is nearly said and done, it turns out we silly libs were right. I want my piece of flesh for being accused of treason, being a traitor to my country for dissent -- by many of the self righteous assholes who still frequent this group. So much resource squandered, our moral authority in the world a shambles, our kids, young parents dead, maimed, psychologically damaged, with many tens of thousands of Iraqis dead or maimed. Families destroyed in the name of lies and hubris. The assholes claiming we were misguided fools know who they are. I just want a little time to rub their faces in the **** they were spewing back when they beat their small-minded drums at a fever pitch. jps I think you place WAY too much importance on this group. I place little if any importance on this group. What's important is that these dweebs are confronted with an alternative to their little, boxed reality. I want to spew as much **** in their faces as I took. I'm not a turn- the-cheek sort of guy. If they don't want to listen, respond, acknowledge their short-sighted stupidity, so be it. jps You say you don't place any importance in this group, but then you list all of the ways this group has spewed **** in your face. You know you are not going to change anyone's mind, they don't care if you are calling them names or spewing ****, so why waste your breath. All of the talk radio/TV talk show hosts are entertainers playing up to their audience, those who love them or those who hate them. They are not news shows, and no on in their right mind would take anything they say as gospel. If legitimate news shows make mistakes, it is very reasonable that entertainment talk shows will make a ton of mistakes. It would appear that they have impacted on your life more than those who agree with them. The "righties" who you hate, have dangled the bait and you have bite it hook line and sinker. Now they are playing you. Why not spit out the bait and let it rest. |

It can be disastrous to accept unproven spin as a basis for opinion, and even more disastrous to use it as a basis for defining policy. We probably shouldn't listen to anybody with a partisan agenda or financial interest in one version of the truth vs. another. Any suggestions concerning where we should turn for completely unbiased reporting devoid of partisan influence and editorializing? I'd be at a loss to identify a single one, on any side of the spectrum or in any medium. Looks to me like you and jps have each chosen a different subset from the universe of biased sources. Holy **** Chuck, awfully magnanimous of you. I listen, read, watch from all perspectives. I know our schtick and theirs. Thats a lie, we proved that yesterday. It's kind of like the movie.. "sure, we play all kinds of music here, country AND western" ;) Face it, you don't watch anything that will burst your little bubble. justafreakin is plugged into the narrow right wing presented by Bill O and I suspect Rush.- There you go again, making it up as you go along. I don't do talk radio, but keep saying it, maybe another fool will beleive it. - Show quoted text - |

Any suggestions concerning where we should turn for completely unbiased reporting devoid of partisan influence and editorializing? Yeah, Fox News. At least you'll hear two sides. And, you'll hear things that never make the major media. If you don't want editorializing, don't listen to O'Reilly, Hannity, Colmes, etc. Just stick with the news. Brit Hume provides a pretty balanced news report. Yes, unless you listen to the complete spectrum of news. Then you easily detect how Hume reinforces the Republican talking points of the day. He regularly walks people into these talking points quite adroitly. And you don't hear two sides. You hear conservative and conservative light. jps |

You don't want to know any better. jps You offered. as was stated, no evidence. Verbiage by hate mongers is not evidence. When did you turn into such a buffoon. Is my memory failing me? Read the link to Bill Moyers. Do you have a problem with Moyers? Think he's a hate monger? Sheesh. As for the other sites, I linked to those that don't spew bull**** but actually refute Bill O in a reasonable way. You obviously didn't bother to read them either. You folks just really want to stay cocooned in your little realities. jps |
