Heard about it yesterday.

"The operator of the powerboat, Gregory Siege, 44, of Madison was
charged with one count of first-degree reckless operation of a vessel
while intoxicated."

Unbelievable.

Hope he gets both years and the fine, and then loses his ass in a civil
suit.

Screw that, they should charge him with murder. He should not be out
on a frekin' promise to appear. Here is the slap on the wrist he
faces:
The penalties for first-degree reckless operation of a vessel while
intoxicated are up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of
$5,000. Are you kidding me? If it were my family that was attacked by
this drunken, arrogant, pile of waste, it would not stand.
