Especially on a canoe which is in no possible way a "motor vehicle".

Depends on how the local law is written of course but I'd like to see
them fight it out in court.


In New Mexico it's illegal to drink alcohol "in the public view". You
can be drunk as a skunk in the mall but you can't drink a beer in your
own living room with the curtins open.
