alpha 1 impeller replacement

How much of a pain is it to replace the impeller in the Alpha 1 outdrive? I
believe that mine gave up the ghost and am debating doing it myself. Thanks
in advanvce.

Just reading through Google posts, apparently it's easy.

Here's a schematic.

It's not bad if you are handy. Get a manual. It needs to be in gear, I
forget if it's forward or reverse but the manual says. And you have to
apply some pressure to the prop to hold it in gear as you put it back.
Helps if you have buddy help when putting it back on because the lower unit
is a bit heavy and it's nice to have someone to hold it while you make sure
stuff is lining up. It can be done alone though. I lower the drive most of
the way and keep a few blocks of wood handy to slip under the skeg to hold
it up as I install it.
