whole damn fleet down to one. Trailerable of course.

This time, no bunks - rollers.

Good plan .. A Sandpiper 565 or a Catalina 18 are a great size for day sails
and occasional weekenders. Just big enough to have a place to sleep and a
pump out head if you plan on taking the wife along.
You can always go ashore and stay a night at a hotel on occasion.

If you planned on sailing singlehanded on fine afternoons in protected
waters, a smaller open boat might do the trick.
example CL16, Hunter 17 etc.
Older guys like us may not appreciate those flat lasers for more than a few
hours at a time.

A buddy here took his CL16 on a 150nm journey along Nova Scotia's
coast...from Halifax to the Canso Causeway.
Didn't use his little honda 2hp once.

Hey, I picked up a fixerupper Bluejay last year, came with Main, Jib,
and three size spinnakers (sic) supposedly for racing. Down home we
got the frostbite yacht club racing all winter in these things. Looks
like a fun little boat, if I get a little sailboat set up this season,
I will let you know, glad to let you borrow a little one some weekend.

Well, after m uch consideration and presenting an offer that I thought
was more than fair for that over priced floating box-on-a-hull Parker
(My Ranger with the FICHT straight up for your Parker - you keep the
Yamaha), I have reconsidered.

There is no way in hell I would buy a wannabe Steiger clone. :)

I was just down shooting the breeze with a guy who sells Yellowfins. He has
one of these in a slip beside Mrs.E's GB and I checked it out ... it's
something I think you would like. The one here has the engine mounted on a
jackplate. Impressive engine too. 275 horses, supercharged and very quiet.
He told me I can try it out whenever I get the itch. Not my kind of boat
though.
