Eisboch Know what you mean. Almost froze while walking my dog out at York Dedoubt at the entrance to the harbour. http://www.pc.gc.ca/lhn-nhs/ns/york/index_e.asp Has warmed up here. A nice 70's day. At least the wind has died down. Got up this morning to take down the old pool solar panels, and cart off to the dump. Nice to not have to worry about the wind blowing them down the street as I removed them. New solar panel time. |

Nasty rotten New England late fall weather right up until July. Sure does shorten the boating season. Drove past two local yacht clubs and one marina on the way to the old fort. Although the yard staff were busy launching, the vast majority of the boats were still snug on their cradles. This long weekend (Victoria Day) is supposed to be the official start of boating season around here. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44258 |

This long weekend (Victoria Day) is supposed to be the official start of boating season around here. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44258 It bothered me more when we had our larger boat because we would spend weekends on the boat, even though the Lake may have been too rough to go out on. I always got it done and splashed before Mother's Day. Now that we have a smaller boat getting the boat done and in the water is not as important, although I will get it in earlier next year as we will have no house remodeling project as we have had over the past months. As of last weekend, most boats at my marina were still on the hard. |
