IK - Sevylor, Stears, or Sea-Doo?
I want to buy a two-person inflatable kayak and was keen on the
Sevylor Colorado or Stearns Back Country which are about the same price, but I've just found a Sea-Doo IK at Costco which is much cheaper and includes paddles. It's not mentioned anywhere on the Costco web site and I know no-one who has one. The IK will be used in sheltered bays and shorelines, canals and local lakes - no rivers or white water. Can anyone advise on the best option please? |

It's not only Walmart who's sending U.S. manufacturing jobs over to China! http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontl.../walmart/view/ Do you like the U.S. trade IMbalance with China today? http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5700.html Shop your conscience, not your wallet! I know, it's depressing. I bought a vacuum bottle (NOT a Thermos(R) ) a vew months ago. A Stanley vacuum bottle. Good old fashioned Stanely, a good American company, correct? Bottle has a label proudly stating "Since 1909". I flip it over and there's a sticker on the bottom "Made in China" In this day and age, the global economy dictates that pretty much everything is outsourced to the cheapest supplier. I'd rather spend more, buy less, and keep my fellow United Statesian employed than sent 200+ TRILLION $$$ to China every year! But experts say we have nothing to fear from the growing Chinese presence, as their well- being depends on our well-being. Uh, yeah? And exactly how many of these "experts" have had *their* jobs exported to China? For now, at least. For now, IOW in our lifetimes, and screw our descendents!! We want our crap NOW! Is that the kind of world you want to leave for your children, grandchildren, and on and on and on...? John Kuthe... |

This could be a troll, for instance by Costco marketing shills, but in case not, here are two web pages Kooky45 should read: http://www.theboatpeople.com/iks_tandem.html http://www.theboatpeople.com/faqs.html |
