I have an 88 Fourwinns with 4.3L OMC in it that "broke". I bought a
new 4.3L Vortec Marine engine that is apparently a 96-97 series block - a valid Serial Number for it would be 0F803114 - it is a 4 barrel - What is the correct timing for for it? |

Start with 8 degrees BTDC and time it by ear & vacuum gauge from there. Use fresh fuel of same/similar grade that you will typically be purchasing. Rob |
