ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Friday and Saturday were beautiful days down on the boat. I am still on
it today, but it's cold, overcast with occasional downpours and the wind
is blowing pretty hard. Glad the heat works.

Here it is warm, but really windy. Most of the guys who went out for
rockcod or salmon were chased off the water by the winds.

Here the temp has yet to break 60F, but the winds have many times broke 25
mph.

Here's what NOAA says:

ANZ530532-070215-
/O.CAN.KLWX.GL.W.0012.000000T0000Z-070506T1900Z/

CHESAPEAKE BAY FROM SANDY POINT TO NORTH BEACH-
1051 AM EDT SUN MAY 6 2007

SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING

THIS AFTERNOON
NE WINDS 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 KT. WAVES 3 FT.

TONIGHT
NE WINDS 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 KT. WAVES 3 FT.

No, I didn't go out, but I did see a bunch of people braving the weather to
play golf!

Golfers should be rounded up and shot.

Be more fun to shoot 'em as they go by. More 'sporting', if you know what I
mean.

Should be fun - repowered 23' Hydrasports CC - bolstered stern with
twin 250 Verados. A lot of work done on this boat - came from
Mississippi after Katrina.

Haven't really wrung out a pair of Verados yet - should be fun. It
will be interesting to see how they compare to ETECs.

I'm going into this with an "open" mind. ~~ snerk ~~

500 hp on a 23' fishing boat?
Lunacy.

True. More would be better. A little underpowered for some people.

Canadians don't have big boats or cars with big engines.

Right!

Most of us don't. The best selling car in Canada for a number of years has

That is what happens in the 19th hole. Lots of shots.

You mean with the visor in the front!, no way maaaaannn

Backwards ball caps drive me nuts - I can't explain it.

And those kids who wear the brims flat as a pancake.

Damn kids...

Anyway, it's a full brim for me.

I generally wear drover's hats with a full brim, but working around
the house, it's a ball cap for me.

And your being driven nuts is exactly why they do it!

A bunch of 12-14 year old kids (boys) were in line ahead of me at the
grocery store this afternoon. Being normal kids of that age they were
yuk-ing it up and grab assing.

One was holding his designer ball cap in his hand and was complaining that
it didn't fit right anymore since his mother had made him get a haircut.
He
was still complaining as he plopped the hat back on his head ... sideways
with the bill pointing out over his left ear.

What's with that, anyway?

Eisboch

Backwards isn't near as cool as sideways. They probably had on pants that
were four sizes too big that had to be held up with one hand. I've *no*
idea why they do that!

It is the bad dude look. Comes from youth jail. They take the belt away so
they are less inclined to kill themselves. So that is the jail look.

From your site:

"By perusing the latter, one finds that the top selling truck model in
Canada is the Ford F-Series pickup, with total sales of 72,128 units. That
beats the Civic’s number by 2,100 units."

Whoops. Sounds like a reading comprehension problem to me. Maybe you should
stop with the bull**** accusations. You usually end up looking like a young
turd.

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. You are quite a piece of work.
How do you impress the young high school students now that the Mustang is
gone?

If the Corps would leave some water in Canyon Lake above the
conservation pool level, or let water out on the weekdays,
I'd be out there. Instead, they're trying to push 2k-5k CFS
down the local little lake that I like to go out on and thats
much too much water for a small channel.

I thought JohnH wanted to improve the tone of the NG and stop with the name
calling?

Double standards?

In John's case, it's more like no standards.
He reasons that since he 'is the law', he's 'above the law'.
