On Carlyle lake in about 1985, it cost me about $1000.00 to slip my 27 ft Chris craft on a nine month lease. their idea of maintenance was to give you a call, and tell you that your boat was listing. and that was about it. rub rails in bad shape and slip/dock barrels rusted and leaking and plank work in need of dire repair. New owners have changed a lot of that around int he last 10 years, but I don't slip a boat anymore. nearest lake is 30 mi. next would be Wabash river at 50, Carlyle lake at 60, Lake Shelbyville at 70, and Ren Lake at 75-80, Decatur Lake 90 mi. I usually just go to carlyle. Big lake , some shallow spots but not bad. Loads of fun. Not only loads of fun but a great activity for the entire family. |
