Default Marine Inspection, Part Deaux..

After informing the inspector that the two stroke DI wasn't actually a
four stroke engine, he looks a little upset and says "Why didn't you
say something".

"I did", I said. "I told you there weren't any carburetors".

Now he's looking grim and starts completing his "inspection".

He wrote me up for "improper emergency signaling device" and not
having my registration renewal sticker the regulation two inches from
the last letter or number on the bow.

The "improper emergency signaling device" is an Ecohorn

USCG approved and a hell of a lot more in it than a propellant horn
will ever give you.

I also had an issue with the sticker measurement as, to my tape
measure, it's exactly 2" from the last letter/number - to the tape
measure on the edge of his clip board, it's 1 3/4".

I will be calling DEP tomorrow and may even make a visit to East Lyme
DEP HQ.

~~ stay tuned for Part Tres ~~
