RS yachtworld.com will have nearly all the brokerage boats- but only brokerage boats- so if you are looking for something rather small or modestly priced it is unlikely to show up there. Private parties often advertise on Craigslist (typically the real el- cheapo "garage sale" sort of fixer uppers- but there are exceptions). Boat Trader now owns Yachtworld (if you can't beat 'em, buy 'em) and has started another site that accepts private party advertising: www.boats.com Then there is always traderonline.com |

Saw on tonight's news where someone posted an ad on Craigslist that everything in a house was available for free. People showed up removed windows, sinks, etc. Craigslist says the person has to get a court order to find out who posted the ad. The owner of the rental figures was the last tenant that got evicted. |

I work most Saturdays & the nearest lake is Freeman/ Schafer both small dirty & small , 1/2 hour away. Raccoon is about twice as far & also pretty small but at least clean. :-) thanks for all the replies |

Also one thing about Ebay, is that you can type in your zip code, and "distance nearest first" and target boats closest to you. It worked for me... |

I could cut a few feet off the bed, I suppose... |

Why do you want/need a big, diesel truck anyway? I bought mine because it was the only SRW truck that could tow what I wanted to tow at the time. (Don't like "dualies"). Now that I don't need to tow anything that heavy I am seriously thinking of replacing it ... if I can find something I like. Eisboch |

A friend of mine has one he uses to haul around his motorcycle trailer. He's got a covered walk-in trailer that holds his three motorcycles, tools, and a pretty complete mini machine shop. He came over last night with the truck, sans trailer, and I borrowed it for a quick ride. Do you haul Mrs. E's horsies around? If not, maybe you don't need a truck at all. |

It is very rare that we trailer the horses although the horse trailer is very handy for making runs to Lowes or occasionally trailering a motorcycle or something. Mrs. E. has one of those Lincoln Mark something pickups .... basically a dolled up Ford F-150 that could tow the horse trailer. The only other thing I occasionally tow is the car trailer with something on it, but the Lincoln could handle that as well ... for relatively short distances anyway. If I were to make another hauling trip like the one I did to Denver, I'd much prefer the F-350, but it's unlikely a trip like that will come up again. Eisboch |

Not so. Cambridge Dictionary of American English, 1999 edition, page 673. Three definitions for "prick" one has to do with making holes one has to do with a body part the appropriate one, in this case is the third: prick, (man)/prik/n [C] rude slang: a man you do not like. "She hated this curly-haired, egotistical prick." When Tom takes an unprovoked shot at me, he is behaving as if he were a "rude and unlikable" confrontational prick. Prick is commony used to describe people without incorporating any reference to a penis. Perhaps you have a potty mind? Perhaps you haven't come across the word anywhere except a partition in a bathroom stall? |

Live and let live. You'll need to look long and hard for any rare examples of me dropping your name, Harry's name, Tom's name or the name of anybody else in threads they aren't involved in- especially in a critical way. I almost never do it, and expect the same consideration in return. Tom would have been disappointed if he thought I hadn't noticed the mudball he so deliberately prepared. He hoped to provoke a response, and did. It's amazing that anybody thinks responding with "Any particular reason you think you need to be a confrontational prick?" is an egregious breach of etiquette, yet the original unprovoked personal remark is considered entirely acceptable. You and Harry (who dislikes my choice of dictionary) can go to whatever dictionaries you prefer and look up "double standard". :-) |
