A while back someone here posted a link in responce to a question about deck
boats. It was a three tube pontoon where the middle tube was bigger than the other two the manfacturer claimed that it performed close to a v hull. Anyone know what I'm talking about - got a link? Thanks John |

If you're interested in something that performs like a v-hull but has space
like a pontoon why don't you just get a deck boat? "John" wrote in message ... A while back someone here posted a link in responce to a question about deck boats. I am probably the biggest pontoon boat fan here but I do understand I am trading performance for the other pontoon benefits. There is nothing like the space and stability you get on a pontoon boat or the shallow water capabilities but you can never get "tubes" to "fly" in the water like a well designed planing hull. If you put enough power on something it will go fast but with gas at $3+ a gallon efficiency is going to be a factor. Do you fish with yours? Do you fish with yours with a trolling motor? I've always wondered how they handled in a good breeze with a trolling motor. |
