Yamaha 115hp power up
Hi everyone,
I have a Yamaha 115hp and would like to up the power output to 130hp or even 140hp. The specs for these motors is all the same so it must be timing and /or jets in carbies. Has anyone done this and could you tell me how. Thanks |

They can do anything you can't stop them from doing. And it is only any modification that could affect emissions or power output. :-) -- Del Cecchi "This post is my own and doesn’t necessarily represent IBM’s positions, strategies or opinions.” |

I thought modifying outboard motors for more power for non-racing use is
now prohibited, at least as of some model year like 2000. Is that not true? I live on the other side of the world .. in Australia. I don't know of any laws like that hear and the motor will still have all the signage of a 115Hp. |

Check the bass and walleye boats website. http://www.bwbmag.com/ go to performance section for some information. Or use search to find other articles that might be interesting like http://www.bwbmag.com/output.cfm?ID=942967 -- Del Cecchi "This post is my own and doesn’t necessarily represent IBM’s positions, strategies or opinions.” |
