Missed out!

Just got the call from my buddy in the BVI.
Last week he had phoned to ask me if I was interested in flying down to help
deliver a 57 foot sailboat from the BVI to Florida and then taking another
boat back all the way to St. Vincent. (3 weeks of sailing).
He would cover my airfare, food and a very modest daily rate. After being
on pins & needles for a week I got the news that he couldn't secure the
second portion of the trip so he wouldn't bother with the other either. The
plan was to spread the airfare expense out over the two separate jobs. He
has a couple of charters coming up to put food on his table, but I sure am
disappointed.
Says he will keep me in mind if any more deliveries come up this spring.

It's 4 degrees here and my driveway's seen 2-1/2 feet of fresh snow since
yesterday morning. So, just shut up. :-)

Thanks Jim. I imagine a lot of boats get shuffled from the winter tourist
destinations back home and also the commercial charter boat companies.

I would think the same thing so it looks like your sail cruise may soon
become a reality.
