Davit recommendations?

I’m looking for recommendations on a swing-away stainless davit
system? I need to hoist about 225 lbs and could do it manual or if the
price isn’t too much more would prefer a small elec winch to do the
work. I’m going to mount the davits on the back rail of the flybridge
of my MT 36Sedan so the dinghy doesn’t have to occupy the area or the
flybridge aft deck. St Croix seems like an obvious choice but are
there better price performers?

If you haven't already done so, you might look into:

www.boatdavit.com

http://www.laconnermaritime.com/

http://www.davitsystem.com/

http://www.weaverindustries.com/history.html

These systems are slightly different than you describe, but are
popular among recreational cruisers in this portion of the country.
All would be entirely adequate for a 225-pound dinghy. I launch and
haul my dinghy with a mast and boom, but if I were going to a davit
system I would lean toward Rokelley, LaConner Maritime, or (for a very
basic solution) Weaver.
