New Binoculars
Got a good deal on EBAY a few days ago for a pair of brand new
electronically stabilized Fujinon 14 x 40s. Practical Sailor raved about them in a recent test so I just had to get a pair. After a quick 30 minute evaluation outside on the boat, I can unequivocally say that these things are the greatest. The stabilization feature can be switched on and off at the push of a button, and the difference is like night and day. Can't wait to try them out while underway. |

Cool - I've got to get me some of them. Those are the best from what I've read because the use an active gyro system I believe while Nikon and Canon use the wet bag system which isn't as relilable as I understand it. Ebay huh? Hmmm... |

Practical Sailor rated the Fujinon stabilization technology best in class, way ahead of everyone else. It certainly is impressive to press the button and all of a sudden everything is steady as a rock. I've used stabilized models before, their probably fine on a sail boat, under sail, but on a power boat, moving around a lot, they were useless. John |
