I didn't listen to all the podcasts, but from your writing it sounds like
you're having a good time!

At least you're in a beautiful area for boating. One of the regulars here,
Chuck, also boats in the Seattle/Puget Sound area and writes for one of the
boating publications in your neck of the woods (Northwest Passage?). He
should be a great source of info for you.

You didn't miss anything at the link. Two tries and all I got was
"This page cannot be displayed". According to Joe's profile he's a Don
McCune fan, so I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he's already one
of our readers. (I have long wondered who the other reader might be,
and perhaps now we're both accounted for). Don's widow, Linda, makes
his work available to us and we run a column each month featuring his
old TV scripts. Don was a writer first and a TV host second, and
unlike most TV scripts his words are so well chosen and phrases so
well crafted that the cameraman was almost extraneous. No wonder his
material was constantly winning Emmy awards and acclaimed by critics.
When asked who's the best writer on our staff, I usually answer "Don
McCune, and he's deceased." :-)

Send me your snail mail addy by private email, John, and I'll forward
a couple of copies of the mag to you. You might enjoy the Don McCune
items, and should you mention the magazine in the future you'll get
the title correct. :-)

No, I went to the link and partially listened to one podcast. I didn't feel
like listening to it for another ten minutes. (Not that it wasn't extremely
interesting and exciting, mind you!)

Please post a link to your magazine. I may subscribe.

PS. I sent an email using my newsreader, which I've not done before. Let me
know if you got it. Thanks.
