No, I'm not familiar witht he soda blasting process. I'm not sure if
anyone in my area does it, so I wouldn't know who to contact to find
info on it.

maybe it depends on the gun tip and pressure used.

These were taken pre-E-TEC and pre-color sonar/radar/gps.

Did you ever determine whether that hull was overweight or
not? Just curious...

I had two muscle cars soda blasted, in the hands of a skilled blaster
he can take just the top layer of paint off. I was able to see the
original paint job on the cars. It also leaves the surface almost ready
to re-apply the primer

It is by 500 lbs. However, we can't find where the weight comes from
- there's no water in the boat - at least not 76 gallons of it.

So, nothing for it but to add a couple of leaf springs and go from
there.

Must be 76 lbs of paint.
