I live in Calif. I'm looking at a boat that was last registered in 1988
with the dmv. does you know how much penalty it will be? would I have
to backpay all 19 years' fees plus penalty or just one sum? any info
is appreciated. thx

just wanted to add the following.

I read the dmv page, http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/fees/reg_fees.htm, but
it's not clear to me whether I have to pay just $100 of penalty or $100
for each of the past 19 years? can anyone shed some lights on this? thx
