Remember last month when we were discussing hockey and I pointed out that
the game originated in my home province.
You made a crack that Canada should be better at it because of that.
Happen to read/watch sports tonight?
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...da-russia.html

Won every game at the last three tournaments... 3 gold medals in a row.
Not too shabby.

It does seem appropriate that Canada would win the Juniors tournament

Hockey as a professional sport is dead.

Sorry to break it to you. :)

As long as there's a Canada, there will always be pro hockey.
Way too much expansion into areas of the US that can't or won't support the
game.

Yeah right - three teams?

When I finish purchasing Canada, the first thing I'm going to do is
make foozball the National Game.

Or long distance spittoon spitting - they both have their appeal.

It's a difficult choice.

Now..as a New Englander, you know better.
I bet if you added up the population of the northern states , you have more
people interested in hockey than in Sweden. or Finland etc.
Plenty of interest for a modest 16 or 20 team league.

LOL!!

Actually, I agree with you - a 16 team league would not only increase
the quality of play,b ut the sport in general.

That is true with most professional sports, including baseball,
football and basketball. Too many teams.........the talent pool is
more and more diluted with each new expansion team entering the picture.
