Isn't Capital Punishment the worst kind of premeditated murder?

In recent years "we" have discovered that at least some of those we have
condemned to die were innocent of the crimes for which they were
sentenced to capital punishment. We have no doubt executed some in this
country who were innocent, but once the convicted are dead no one expends
energy exonerating them.

I'm against capital punishment...but there's little doubt about Saddam's
culpability for the crimes that he was accused of.

No, I'd say it's the end of the worst kind of premeditated murder.

It's like a teaching a kid not to hit others...by hitting the kid. It's
hypocritical.

One philosophical problem I have with capital punishment is
that society and the state do not grant life and therefor
should not be able to take it. They do grant freedom
however and can deny it for non-compliance.

They don't grant MY freedom, only limit it.
I was born with it.

Stick out your tongue, and hold the very tip of it between your fingers,
and say (or attempt to say)

" I was born on a Pirate Ship"
