I've just been informed by a high ranking tier 1 tech support member in
India that Earthlink Usenet News is definately down and that the
engineers hope to have the problem fixed in about 1 week.

Forgot to add that Gateway Computers is now offering 100% North American
technical support. Presumably that means that when you call, the person
on the other end speaks reasonable English and, just as important, the
paycheck for providing the service is going to someone in the United
States or Canada.

Y tambien, nosotros vivimos en Norte America :-)

I never could rally figure out the reasoning behind that commercial.
Maybe they were telling the public that by reading between the lines,
their service is like a fairlytale...

OOPS! sorry about the triple posts..

After the first post, the net loaded too slow and Google timed out, so
you reload and retry. same thing, reloaded and retried.

After the third try I gave up. Needless to say, Google didn't........

That would explain why I didn't see anything after Dec 8th and why my
posts didn't go through. I've since switched to Aloe. So far I've been
able to post. Jim
