I got thinking about my Takamine guitar a couple weeks ago. I went over
to the music store and bought a 'humidifier' for it but haven't gotten
around to finding distilled water yet. Wife says it should be at the
grocery store.

It's usually in the laundry aisle, intended for irons, most of whose
manufacturers recommend not using distilled water. But anyway....

Believe it or not, I *do*. My father-in-law gave it to me from his vast
collection of "stuff" when I bought my first ocean type boat. It's worn, oil
and coffee stained and has a distinctive moldy odor.

I've purchased a couple of new editions over the years, but I keep his old
one for kicks. Next time I look at it, I'll note the edition.

Now ... a trivia question .... take a guess without looking it up ....
