I got thinking about my Takamine guitar a couple weeks ago. I went over
to the music store and bought a 'humidifier' for it but haven't gotten
around to finding distilled water yet. Wife says it should be at the
grocery store.

It's usually in the laundry aisle, intended for irons, most of whose
manufacturers recommend not using distilled water. But anyway....

What's an iron?

Something you use to make sure your yacht club uniform looks crisp when you
go to dinner. Seriously...do you have a copy of the Chapman book from the
1960s? Holy ****....

than setting up the electric (Gibson). I also have a Taylor 12 string that
Mrs.E. bought for me a couple of years ago. I'll drag that one out after my
fingers are in better shape. Right now they are stiff and uncooperative due
to a long absence of practice.

Interesting.

I'd much rather play my Yamaha 12, than any of my 6's. To me it's more
comfortable, with the wide neck, and you lay your fingers down on 2
strings, I describe it like the two strings are like railroad tracks,
instad fo one thin string similar to razor wire.

My classical is fun too, especially when picking jazz type stuff.

Believe it or not, I *do*. My father-in-law gave it to me from his vast
collection of "stuff" when I bought my first ocean type boat. It's worn, oil
and coffee stained and has a distinctive moldy odor.

I've purchased a couple of new editions over the years, but I keep his old
one for kicks. Next time I look at it, I'll note the edition.

Now ... a trivia question .... take a guess without looking it up ....

Wow. Personal preferences are different. I'm googling now for the white

Funny, I've been working on the guitar again, building the finger calluses,
then I sliced part of my left index fingertip off with a knife. So, I set
up the keyboard until it heals.
