I wish I lived in Seattle...
....so I could put Christmas lights all over my boat and join one of the
Christmas Parades on the lake or in the sound. I'd even put a lighted Nativity Scene on the bow, just so people wouldn't forget the reason we celebrate the Holiday. But, I don't. So I have to settle with putting the Christmas lights on the house. And I just finished! Yippee! Christmas is a time of togetherness and sharing. And I think a nicely lighted front yard and house says just that to all who pass by. -- John H **** May your Christmas be Spectacular!**** *****...and your New Year even Better!***** |

I usually put up the Stereo speakers outside and play Christmas music
(choirs) have done so for the past 8 yr.s and plenty of compliments, and no complaints! basskisser wrote: JohnH wrote: ...so I could put Christmas lights all over my boat and join one of the Christmas Parades on the lake or in the sound. Why not start a lighted boat parade tradition back in MD?
The first year or two would be small, but with a little PR and determination you'd have something really worthwhile before you realized it. It's not too late this year to put holiday lights on your boat, including a nativity scene if you're so inclined, and stage a parade prior to the heart of the holiday season. |

If so, I'll leave the lights on the boat and take your family for a 1-boat parade. :-) Can't promise a nativity scene on the bow, however. |

Once November 15th hits, the doors to the boatel are closed for the season. The aisle way is filled with boats from the slips, and the hatches are battened for winter. It gets *cold* here! I wish it didn't get so cold. I think a Christmas Parade of boats would be fun with Christmas lights twinkling all over the water. We walked the course and lost a lot of balls in the leaves - not just off the fairway. I think 18 holes was maybe $10 for a course that would normally be $35 + cart. Since it was slow we would pack a small rod in the bag and catch a few bass and bluegill in the lakes between shots. I miss that, but not the weather that soon followed. Dan |
