Have you looked at the Monk 36' trawler? To me, who knows very little of
them, it looks like one I'd like. Of course, they're not cheap.

If and when I decide to unload some of my daughters' inheritance, I'll be
looking for something like this:

You might like the Camano, smaller, less $$$, with a lot less of that
damned dark interior wood, and able to move fast enough to run an inlet
during an outgoing tide.

Now that is a pretty boat :-) i would love to get somthing like that
some day. But the wife would kill me..
