I have a great picture of a pickup truck that was driven up the steps of an
old house onto the porch to keep the engine/cab out of the Katrina flood.
On both sides of it, were three dedicated Cajuns fishing the waters flowing
through the front yard, so's not to miss the fish.

The other Cajun picture shows a skinny Cajun woman, sitting in the middle
of a wooden door covered with cigarettes and beer barely floating with a
Cajun man up to his neck in floodwaters towing his favorite stuff carefully
to safety....while smoking a cigarette, of course.

That's a riot - fishing in the flood.

And catching a fish!!!!

Season may be a short one!

There's a bright orb of some kind in the sky today. Very mysterious,
really. Somebody over at the University of Washington has promised to
analyze it and let us know what it might be.

I was sure glad our weather cooperated for that Monday night football
game at Safeco Field. It was coming down so hard you could see the
drops on camera. Yeah! :-)

It's wonderful to let the rest of the nation know what the typical
weather is really like in this area, and just why they would never ever
want to move here and use up any of the limited remaining moorage or
(worse yet) add another car to our so-called freeways.

In fact, it rained so hard I couldn't tell the difference between the
baseball park (Safeco Field) and the football stadium, Qwest Field! :-)

It poured a bit in Longview....a record 4 inches. Even worse, I can
see miles and miles of debris floating down the Columbia. We were
expecting my newest boat this weekend, from Florida, but the transport
has been delayed. Probably a good thing.

I just hope the River flushes itself by Turkey day.
