Bilgeman - circa 2004 I thought you were a lot smarter than that, Tom. Gimme a break. A 10-second sound byte, lifted out of context? If Kerry was expressing what the propagandist who snipped this claimed, there would have been a lot more material extracted. Maybe even *two* entire sentences or even a paragraph. This type of dirty trick is played on all sorts of public figures, including GWB and other right wing spokesmen, and it is always wrong as well as usually effective among folks who aren't very discerning. The reason the soundbyte is usually so short is that any more information would disprove the lie the propagandist is trying to promote. I thought several of the people high-fiving you below were a lot smarter as well. The only part you got right was that this politically charged item is way off topic and that you certainly did need to apologize for dumping it into the boating newsgroup. Any thing else he said does not excuse the damming of soldiers as stupid! |

John Kerry strikes again..
It may be the word from the street in the San Fransisco area but it
certainly is not the word in the real world out side that area. Kerry is an idiot and a disgrace to the uniform he once wore with such evident distaste. In my view his actions tend to confirm his spinelessness in the past. He was within his rights to request to leave Vietnam before his tour was up.... but for an officer in particular it was a disgraceful act to desert his fighting comrades. So we also are going to take Kerryism's at their face value. And if he was smart and realized he made a Faux Pas, he should have apologized immediately! Being he is both an idiot and stupid, he gets to reap what he sowed. |

How do know I take Bush at his word? Quite the contrary. I've never been dumb enough to believe a damned thing he's said. He's nothing more than a liar, and only the hard core right wing believes any and everything he spews at them. So we also are going to take Kerryism's at their face value. And if he was smart and realized he made a Faux Pas, he should have apologized immediately! Being he is both an idiot and stupid, he gets to reap what he sowed. How do you know that he meant the TROOPS then? He never mentioned troops or soldiers. |

Eisboch I try to avoid Cheney and his Darth Vader soundbites whenever possible. It pains me to see a psychotic one artificial heartbeat away from the presidency. But Harry, you were *for* Kerry! |

Odd - I read that as self-flatuated. That reminds me... Yesterday on the golf course, I topped a short chip and the ball went only about two feet. One of the other players said, "You know what you did, don't you?" I said, "What?" He said, "You raised your head to see where the ball was going. Do you know what that's called?" "No, what?" I replied. "Premature adulation!" (Sorry, your 'self-flatuated' brought that to mind.) |
