Tom - cool dog story. Maybe you could do this, assuming the dogs would put
up with the cigar smoke:

Thanks.

I'm very aware of this program and am currently working with them to
find funding and expand the program into CT.

If the idea works well, something should be done about this:

"In late 2001, President Bush signed a law authorizing the Veterans
Administration to underwrite programs like Canines for Combat Veterans. But
the Veterans Administration is still studying the matter, so Neads must
raise all the money for its program from private sources."

They'll study the matter forever unless a very bright light is shone on
their faces.

When I made the offer to buy my house, the realtor presented it to the
sellers. They said they'd study it and get back to him. "Is your phone
number on here?" He said there was no need to call him. "I'll be waiting in
your driveway. The offer vanishes in 30 minutes".

Study, indeed.

Canines are available to combat veterans now. So what's the problem?

I don't know. Did you read the article? *Something* is being pondered -
perhaps the funding for this particular project.
