Just starting out advice needed
Can anyone recommend a good swing keel boat 21 - 23' that I can trailer ? I love sailing full keel boats as I feel they handle well but know there are limitations for trailers. I have seen trailers for the Sailstar Corinthian 19' but I am looking for something a little bigger like a Tanzer 22 or Hunter 22 for cruising with family. I'll be sailing in Barnegat Bay, NJ. If I can't trailer a 22' full keel then a swing keel would do best as second. I plan to leave the boat at the marina April -Oct and then bring it home in the off season. Any advice is very welcomed Dan. |

Don't over look an Aquarius 23'. We had one when the two kids were
little and trailered it around the NW. Puget Sound, Desolation sound for 28 day's,Gulf islands,Vancouver island, Astoria oregon, and columbia river in the portland area. It was a great summer home and moorage was cheap. The Boat could have used more head room and the swing keel made it easy to beach for lunch and sand castle building. Sailed fine if you kept it flat. It was easy to rig even in the dark with a flashlight. We had a tandem axle trailer and Astro van. Tim Welshboy wrote: Can anyone recommend a good swing keel boat 21 - 23' that I can trailer ?
