OT - IE7RC1 Revisited

Despite good advice to the contrary I finally installed IE7.

I like the tab feature. Not too crazy about the phishing protection so I'll
see about disabling it.

Only issue so far was attempting to make an on-line purchase from Boaters
World. All went well until the final button after entering all info
including card numbers, etc. The system kept trying, over and over again,
to complete the transaction. The phishing protection icon was running at
high speed. I finally killed the thing and called BW via LL. They
confirmed the transaction had not taken at their end. A couple of days
after, I made the order via LL.

Thanks, again, for all the helpful advice.

Butch

I've had absolutely no problems with IE7. I'm very happy with it.

Butch, I've been using Mozilla Firefox for a couple years now and have been
very happy with it. I still keep IE around for those very rare occasions
I'll need it (like if trying to download a Microsoft update). I've never
had a problem buying something online with Mozilla.

To disable the phishing filter go to Tools-Phishing Filter-Phishing Filter
Settings-Security-Disable Phishing Filter. Click OK.

I haven't had any problem like you described, maybe I just haven't hit the
right web site. I ran the Phishing Filter test against the Boaters World
site and MS reported no problem. Are you sure you were at the real Boaters
World site?

John H,

Tried FireFox and had difficulty loading some sites. Finally gave it up.
Current iteration is probably much better.

John Wentworth,

IRT the phishing filter and Boaters World, had no problem with the site
until final check out. That's when it just wouldn't complete the
transaction. I'm very certtain I was on the real site.

Thanks, guys.
