Small boat electronics...

... Well, daily on-topic post. I'm thinking about redoing the electronics on the Ranger to something all-in-one - radar/GPS/fishfinder. Anybody have any experience with small boat electronics that might have some advice? The entire industry is controlled by evil beings from Remulak. Stay away. It's a conspiracy to soften us up for future products, like a combination toilet-refrigerator-staple remover. |

And what's wrong with a combination toilet-refrigerator-staple remover? Seriously. Well, for one thing, I'm not sure I'd entirely trust the water dispenser/ice maker. I'd like a few more degrees of separation from the refer and crapper. Secondly, I don't think I'd ever have the courage to engage the staple remover while sitting on the aforementioned crapper. That would be a leap of faith I just don't think I'd be able to muster. |

Bit of advice though... if you *have* to have one, make sure it is properly bonded to the boat's bonding plate. I know. Been there, done that. Eisboch |
