Yes, he was certain that the US Navy wave height prediction model was
wrong, and the NOAA weather buoys were reporting incorrect data during
one of the major gulf coast hurricanes a few years ago.

Every time I look at that video I wonder what king of boat, if any,
could survive an encounter with a wave like that.

Actually, it *does* seem to be about the size of waves that he
described boating in......

Perhaps that explains why we are not hearing from him any more. He
did seem a bit close to the "deep end" at his last sighting.
