I have never heard this little noise before. When i just went down to
my boat and turned key on to see how much fuel I had I heard this little noise in my 2002 Yamaha Outboard. It lasted for a few seconds and stopped. It was a clicking sound similar to a bilge pump sucking dry. Then I bumped the key and it started right up but when I shut off the key it made the same little clicking noise. Does anyone know what this might be? |

@i42g2000cwa.googlegroups.com: I don't think hour meter - was thinking maybe electric fuel pump but I always thought either they work or don't work The fuel pump brings the rail pressure up, then the computer shuts it back off, again, if you don't crank the engine to save power. It continues to run if you crank the engine before it times out. Your car does the same thing....in the gas tank. -- There's amazing intelligence in the Universe.
